50kms from Udupi is a seaside town where NH-17 cruises along with Arabian Sea on one side and the Sauparnika River on the other against a mountainous background of the Kodachadri Hills. The Maravanthe beach is a picturesque virgin beach with no tourists to spoil miles and miles of white sand.? To experience the beauty of this spectacular beach, which runs for a few kms one must witness the sunset either on the beach or take a drive along the stretch.
