1. Lalbagh Botanical Garden
Lalbagh is probably the first place I’d include. It has large landscaped areas, walking paths, mature trees and a wide variety of plants. It works well for both photography and a relaxed morning walk.
2. Cubbon Park
If you want a peaceful green space in the middle of the city, Cubbon Park is a great choice. The tree-lined paths make it enjoyable for walking, sitting and taking a break from the busy central areas.
3. Bangalore Palace Grounds
The area around Bangalore Palace offers a different experience, combining greenery with historic architecture. It can be useful to combine with other central Bangalore attractions.
4. Bugle Rock Park
Located in Basavanagudi, Bugle Rock Park is smaller than Lalbagh or Cubbon Park but has a quieter neighbourhood feel. It is a nice stop when exploring Basavanagudi and nearby cultural spots.
5. JP Park
Jayaprakash Narayan Biodiversity Park is another option if you want a less tourist-focused green space. It has landscaped areas, walking paths and a more relaxed atmosphere.
How I Would Choose
For plants and photography: Lalbagh
For a city walk: Cubbon Park
For history + greenery: Bangalore Palace
For a quieter local experience: Bugle Rock Park
For a relaxed nature break: JP Park
If you have limited time, I would choose Lalbagh and Cubbon Park first. Try visiting early in the morning when the weather is more comfortable and the parks feel less crowded.
Also check the current opening hours before visiting, especially if you are planning an early-morning trip.
