Shunti Thambuli [Meals] | About: | | Thambuli is a summer friendly dish that’s a specialty of North Karnataka - Udupi parts of Karnataka. Thambuli-rice combo is usually the first course in a multi-course meal. Thambuli with different ingredients- ginger, raw mango, Methy seeds, onion, Bramhi. Most common among them all is Shunti (ginger) Thambuli. Here's the recipe for it. | Ingredients: | - 1 cup Fresh grated coconut
- 3/4 tbsp Black pepper powder
- 2"-3" Fresh Ginger piece
- 2 cups Curds
- 1 tbsp Oil
- ½ tbsp Mustard seeds
- 3-4 Curry leaves
- A pinch of HING
- Salt as per taste
| How to prepare? | - Grind together grated coconut, pepper powder and ginger into a smooth paste.
- Add curds, salt and mix well. If the mixture becomes very thick, add water to get the desired consistency.
- Add mustard, HING and curry leaves Tadka for the above mixture.
