There are many version for Thambuli. It’s an easiest and nice accompaniment for hot plain rice.

Ingredients:

  • Jeera -1 tbsp
  • Coconut grated -2 tbsp
  • Buttermilk -3 cups
  • Salt to taste.

How to prepare?

  • Roast the Jeera, grind it with coconut.
  • Filter it in a cloth and mix it with buttermilk and salt. Ready to serve. 
  • Use fresh ginger 1/2" for spicy while grinding.

How to Serve?

It goes well with rice.

Health statement:

Buttermilk is lower in fat than regular milk, because the fat has been removed to make butter. It is also high in potassium, vitamin B12, calcium, and riboflavin as well as a good source of phosphorus. Those with digestive problems are often advised to drink buttermilk rather than milk, as it is more quickly digested. Coconut is highly nutritious and rich in fiber, vitamins, and minerals.
