The Unchalli Falls are situated in the North Kanara district in North West Karnataka. These water falls are situated in the thick Sahyadri hills of the Western Ghats. we walked the total distance (around 5 km.) and reached the falls. What a sight! Trust me, hidden from the outer world, its a world in itself. Ya, the place was not big, but within itself, it held a beauty hidden from the rest of the world. Rocks surrounding the beautiful water gushing down the top was a treat to watch! The rocks were slippery; somehow we managed to get under the falls. The water falling from around 40-50 ft. above, on us, left us all shouting in pain and excitement. [More] [Less]

The tallest and no doubt the most impressive waterfall in India, the Jog Falls(also known as the Gerusoppa waterfalls) is located about 400 kms from Bangalore in Karnataka. It is created by the Sharavathi River which comes down in cascades from a height of 292 meters at Gerusoppa in four distinct falls, called the Raja, Rani, Rover and Rocket. Reaching the bottom of this majestic and beautiful Jog falls takes around 20 minutes while coming back can take as long as two hours. Badami, formerly known as Vatapi, is a taluk in the Bagalkot District of Karnataka, India. It was the regal capital of the Badami Chalukyas from 540 to 757 AD. It is famous for rock cut and other structural temples. It is located in a ravine at the foot of a rugged, red sandstone outcrop that surrounds Agastya lake. Badami Caves: Badami is an interesting place to visit in Karnataka what with its artificial lake, ancient temples, Museum and Hindu and Jain caves carved in the Sandstone hills.
